This is a brilliant paid work experience opportunity for young people interested in health and wellbeing, community and public services, research and statistics.
It is perfect for students in year 12 who want to gain high quality work experience. No experience is necessary. We are looking for young people in who are motivated and keen to learn.
This is a research project so it will develop skills related to geography, sociology, business, maths or statistics. It will also develop your analysis, team-work, communication and presentation skills.
The project takes place during the school day so you will need the approval of your teachers to take part.
You will be part of the research team who design, implement and analyse a research survey with young people in Lambeth aged 16-18
The aim of this project is to reach young people between the ages of 16-18 and find out what is important to young people in regards to their own health and wellbeing and learn more about how they have coped during the pandemic.
This research will inform the next Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy for Lambeth. Lambeth Council and Lambeth NHS Clinical Commissioning Group are required by law to produce the next strategy in 2023.
Our client for this project is Lambeth Council. They have commissioned us to deliver a professional standard job for them so you will be doing real work alongside professionals.
You will be supported every step of the way by We Rise coaches and experts from global research firm IPSOS.
You will work for a total of 7 days.
The first part of the Project takes place over two days : Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th May. Working hours are 10am – 4pm.
There will be a number of days when you will take part in fieldwork at different schools in Lambeth during June and July. These will be 2 hour sessions.
You will then come back together as a team for 3 full days to do the analysis of the data and create a presentation. This is planned to take place in September.
The project will take place in Brixton. The first day we will be working at 3Space International House.
You will be paid the London Living Wage for the hours you work.
